STARGLOW          

Star Glow ... well if your like most people you probably do'nt remember seeing Star Glow much. That's because she only appeared in this book What IF #37. Who is she, well Surfer fans Star Glow is none other than our own beloved Shalla-Bal. Yes that's right ... Shalla-Bal. In this "What If " the Silver Surfer loses his power and Shalla-Bal steps in to save Zenn-La. THe story line goes like this ... The Silver Surfer battles along side the Fantastic FOur to stop Galactus from devouring Earth (FF # 48-50). Upon Galactus's defeat due to Read Richards threat of the Ultimate Nullifer, Galactus decides to leave Earth, but with out first punishing the Silver Surfer. Since the Surfer betrayed Galactus, Galactus stripes the Surfer of all the Power Cosmic

and return him back to a normal man ... Norrin Radd.With the great hunger upon him, Galactus returns to the one place he knows he will find sustenance ... Zenn-La. Perplexed by his arrival and the absence of the Silver Surfer, Shalla-Bal seeks out Galactus for answers. She learns of Norrin Radd's fate and offers herself in his place as Galactus's herald. Galactus accepts and transforms her into Starglow. With the aid of Reed Richards, the Silver Surfer returns to Zenn-La only to find Shalla-Bal no more, but instead Starglow. Feeling pity for him, Galactus returns part of the Power Cosmic to the Surfer, but puts up a barrier around Zenn-La preventing the Surfer to ever leave his home world.
